Alicia Arias Garcia: A Triple Corona Journey Between Two Worlds

Alicia Arias Garcia, a Mexican financial executive with more than 17 years in the industry, has joined a rare global group of open-water swimmers who have completed the Triple Corona: Manhattan Island, Catalina Channel and English Channel. Only about 400 people worldwide have achieved this milestone, including just 24 Mexicans and eight Mexican women. Her English Channel crossing was reported at 12 hours 2 minutes. She also completed a 33 km overnight swim in 11 hours 31 minutes. Cold-water adaptation is a central part of her preparation, including six-hour sessions in water below 16 degrees Celsius.
